In April and May, we were privileged to embark on another very special journey: to Jowai in the Indian state of Meghalaya. Our pastor, Manbha, gave us a warm welcome—a reunion that touched us deeply and filled us with joy.
Encounters that connect
Right from the start, we visited our sponsored children. Whether in their families' homes or in groups with dedicated volunteers on site, every encounter was a precious moment. Maintaining this connection means a lot to us. And for the children and their families, our visit is a powerful message: You are not alone. We stand by your side – for education, opportunities, and a better future.

Progress that gives hope
Our turmeric project continues to grow: The large processing hall is finished, and the roof will hopefully soon withstand the heavy monsoon rains. Weather permitting, the women's groups will be able to process their first harvest as early as next November—from the root to the finished turmeric powder! 240 women and their families will benefit from this – a sustainable source of income and a bit more self-determination.

Education for all – even in remote regions
Another highlight of our trip was the ceremonial inauguration of the new school building for disadvantaged children. The joy was overwhelming: teachers, students, parents, local politicians—even Bishop Ferdinand was swept away by the enthusiasm. There was singing, dancing, speaking, and celebrating—a true celebration of togetherness!

We continue
This trip has shown us once again how much our support can achieve—and how much it is needed. We are grateful for every encounter, every hug, every smile. And we will continue—together with our partners in Meghalaya and with your support.
